The
Heart of Worship:
We
believe that worship is not just ritual but a real encounter
with the living God who is worthy of our worship. Our goal
is to help people truly encounter and connect with the Lord
Jesus Christ. He is the heart of worship. Psalm 29:2 says,
"Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; worship the
Lord in the beauty of holiness." John 4:24 says, "God is
Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and
truth."
The Style of
Worship:
We believe
that the church should be both doctrinally pure and
culturally relevant through the use of current mediums such
as a contemporary style of music, the arts, and multimedia.
First and foremost, we are striving to be biblical in all
that we do. The Bible is the standard for all things at True
Life Church. However, we are also striving to be
contemporary and non-traditional in our style. How does this
relate to a True Life worship service?

-
A casual
and informal atmosphere-You don't have to wear a suit and
tie or a dress to attend True Life. Wear your jeans if you
feel comfortable. Have a cup of coffee. The Bible tells us
that man looks on the outward appearance, but God looks on
the heart.
-
Biblical
teaching-We believe in the anointed, accurate, and
practical teaching of the Bible with a focus on life
transformation and conformity to the character of Christ.
Relating God's truth to real life is an essential part of
our services.
-
The use of
drama and multimedia

-
Children's
Ministry

-
Contemporary music led by a praise team- Psalm 33:1-3
says, "Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous! For praise
from the upright is beautiful. Praise the Lord with the
harp; make melody to Him with an instrument of ten
strings. Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully with a
shout of joy." Colossians 3:16 says, "Let the word of
Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and
admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual
songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." We
are seeking to put these verses into practice in our
worship experience. Our Praise Team includes vocalists and
musicians and is led by Tim Parker. We do contemporary
songs and hymns (done in more modern arrangements).
